I liked this quote because mostly of the description. The way Leper says it makes you think about how the sun can make that effect on someone's body image. Another reason why I chose this quote is how he uses that analogy comparing them as black as death. It helps show me the effect of how that whole incident, that was tragic and the fact that Leper used those colors in the quote. Colors symbolize things, and the fact that he used black comparing it to death stuck out to me.
What is going to happen to Finny and Gene's friendship? ahhhhh...
